I am a woman and am planning to become a police officer. I really think I would love this career, but my other desire is to be a mother. Do my two dreams contradict eachother?

I have to admit, this job holds lots of responsibility and stress, and it is always good to have your family back you in this career. Sometimes the stress is overwhelming (Ie you had to shoot someone or you saw a little kid bet up) and it doe hit home… You should always have hobbies and sports to keep your mind off of work. Like we say, never bring his job home.
